Presented at Paris‘ Maison de la Radio, Acne Studios’ Spring/Summer 2020 collection explores the idea of nature and the countryside through layered texture and relaxed silhouettes.

Of the collection, the Swedish brand’s creative director Jonny Johansson said: “The choice to live in nature can be a radical act. It is poetic but it is also very real, about seeking alternatives. I am always attracted to these people, and the way their life translates into the way they dress. This idea of escape is more important today than ever.”

Through a display of past and present technique, beauty is found in imperfection and explored further through a collaboration with artist August Strindberg. Four of the Swedish artist’s paintings were printed on linen and hand-embroidered with crystals: “Underlandet” (Wonderland), “Svartsjukans natt” (The Night of Jealousy), “Den ensamma giftsvampen” (The Solitary Toadstool) and “Staden” (The Town).
