Consider this your holiday-proof guide to cool-girl outfitting
But when it comes to styling an entire ensemble, in situ inspiration is often needed. We’ve recruited the help of four impeccably-dressed creatives to share their European summer fashion blueprints, so you can replicate and recreate with ease. If you’re bound for turquoise waters and orange spritzes, consider this your holiday-proof guide to cool-girl outfitting.

This winter, I’m dreaming of summer afternoon in Rome meandering from one spritz to another. A vacation in Italy always calls for a suitcase full of pieces that capture a feeling of relaxed glamour and romance. To me, nothing says holiday-mode like crochet, so I’m going all in on this matching crochet halter and mini skirt by Magda Butrym, and layering this vintage-looking embroidered bowling shirt by Marine Serre over the top. I like how the sultry, feminine silhouette of the mini is offset by the androgynous shape of the shirt – it’s my theory that this kind of juxtaposition is the perfect recipe for outfit success. Footwear is always a challenge on holiday, particularly if you’re planning on splitting your time between the pool, art galleries and restaurants. Something neutral and hard-working, like these neutral-toned Bottega Veneta heeled sandals, will be my go-to (cobblestone streets be damned). Speaking of Bottega Veneta, I love how this red patent crossbody bag picks up the crimson flowers in the shirt. A pair of gold earrings from Meadowlark will be the perfect accessory for everyday, and this gold necklace by Alighieri will dial up this ensemble to 11 – perfect for late-night bar hopping and impromptu invitations to glamorous parties. I’ll be topping this look off with a pair of pastel pink sunglasses by Coperni and applying a liberal amount of Tom Ford’s Jasmine Musk. La dolce vita never looked better.

Extravagant European summer ensemble: cue Mach & Mach’s Cut Out Mini Dress for an evening in Mykonos. The white serves as the perfect canvas to make a tan pop, and the length is also versatile enough to go from the beach to the party. Amina Muaddi shoes are the ultimate statement, and the embellished gladiator sandals add a flirtatious disarray of colours to contrast the monochrome dress. Paired with bold earrings and a Mini Bottega Pouch Bag for an extra injection of colour, I’m dressed for anywhere the night may take me.

When I think of a European summer, I immediately think of colour! I’m heading to Lake Como mid-July and this outfit is exactly what I’d love to wear to dinner at our hotel, Villa d’Este. This Tom Ford dress is the perfect piece for a pop of colour (and glam). I’ve chosen the Amina Muaddi Gilda Crystal Sandals as they’re my favourite summer heel, while being extremely comfortable to dance the night away in. I’ve paired the dress with a classic Bottega silhouette, with white bouclé bringing another texture to the outfit. Last but not least, the Alessandra Rich Silver Oval Cameo Earrings to finish the outfit with a dose of sparkle.

I love a pair of statement glasses, especially with a tinted lens. The Tom Ford Red Neughman is the perfect mix of modern and classic, perfect for sunset drinks. Versace necklace – timeless and iconic. the bigger the better with jewellery. Adding a bit of theatre to the classic Magda Butrym knit bralette paired with relaxed feather trim pants creating an effortlessly understated look that works in bohemian Ibiza. Adding the Bottega Veneta Chlorophyll Metal Cassette bag and Manolo Blahnik Lurum Black Satin Crystal Embellished heel for a polished edge.

I’ll be spending this European summer on the Greek party island of Mykonos. Mykonos’ uniform is colour! For a night out in Mykonos, I would pair the Coperni Green Chain Mini Skirt with the NENSI DOJAKA Pink Front Key Hole Bodysuit. I am currently obsessing over both Coperni and Nensi Dojaka and will use any excuse to represent these brands that are making waves in the fashion industry. Coperni’s designs are very distinct, incorporating bold colours, patterns and cuts. It is the perfect label to wear if you want to make a statement. I also love how Nenski Dojaka’s garments play on the female silhouette with expert detailing and delicate ruching, creating this element of femineity. I would accessorise this killer look with a pair of Amina Muaddi Orange Printed Cocco Lupita Sandal, Coperni Iridescent Swipe Bag and finally a pair of Alessandra Rich Silver Star Fringe Earrings to add some sparkle to my outfit, because nothing screams Mykonos quite like sparkles.
